Resources

The COVID-19 crisis has impacted us all in a number of ways. If you are in need of assistance, please email requests@covidhelpnashville.com and we will do our best to help. Here are some additional resources that are available right now.

 

FOOD ASSISTANCE

 

  • Catholic Charities provides emergency food boxes. Call 615-352-3087 for more info. 

  • Second Harvest Food Bank provides emergency food boxes and has several pick-up locations. 

  • Martha O’Bryan Center can assist individuals and families with food and financial assistance. Complete their online intake form or call 615-254-1791.

  • The Store provides emergency food boxes. Available for curbside pick up Thursday and Friday 1-5pm and Saturday 11am-3pm. Bags will be pre-prepared based on family size. People can pick up one bag a week and will need to bring ID and proof of income or hardship of some sort.

  • Nashville CARES does emergency food bags. During COVID-19, this is limited to a bag of shelf-stable food items, one produce bag, and eggs. Call (800) 845-4266 to request food via curbside pick-up or delivery. 

  • Salvation Army Soup Wagon will be handing food boxes (Mon - Thurs 1p-3p) at 611 Stockell St.

  • Woodmont Baptist Church is providing 2 food bags per person on Tuesdays from 10am - 12pm.

  • St. Luke’s Community House Food Bank will be open to the public on Fridays, 9a-1p, by appointment only. Individuals can make appointments by visiting their website. Also, running a Mobile Meals program (5 frozen meals every week) to our currently registered senior clients. Will also deliver Food Boxes if requested.

  • Metro Action Commission provides breakfast and lunch from 9:00-10:30 TWTH, provides enough food on TH to get to following T. 

  • Metro Nashville Public Schools will be providing breakfast and lunch meals to anyone under the age of 18 every weekday while schools are closed. Meals will be available for pickup between 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Children must be present to collect the meals. Schedule and locations here. Meals will also be available at several MNPS school bus stops. MNPS school buses will be delivering meals to select locations.

  • West Nashville Dream Center provides food to those in need throughout West Nashville (37208 and 37209) Monday through Saturday. There are no eligibility requirements to receive assistance. Click here and scroll to the bottom to find exact times and locations for food distribution.

  • Graceworks Ministries is providing drive-through food distribution for anyone in need at 104 Southeast Parkway, Franklin, TN 37064 on Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m to 12 p.m. as well as Wednesdays from 4 to 7 p.m. Families with school-aged children can come once every 15 days while schools are closed. Families without school-aged children can come once every 30 days. Please stay in your car and follow directions as you enter the parking lot to access your food. Please bring your ID.   • Meals on Wheels is available for Williamson County residents. Sign up for your weekly meal delivery by calling Kelly Breniser at 615-762-7746.

  • The Branch of Nashville can provide food by appointment only. To make an appointment, visit here and click “Need Help” at the top of the screen. Appointments are available six days a week between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Food boxes are large and contain fresh and non-perishable items. Individuals in need should bring ID and proof of area address.

  • The Little Pantry That Could provides weekly, shelf-stable food to anyone in need. The Pantry is located at 2011 24th Ave N, Nashville, TN 37208 and is open on Saturdays from 9 a.m.-1 p.m.

  • Inspiritus provides food and household items to individuals/families in need on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 8:30-11 a.m. at 1628 Rosa Parks Blvd, Nashville, TN 37208.

  • Loaves and Fishes (Holy Name Church) are serving sack lunches on Mon, Weds, and Sat  11:30-12:30. 

  • Room In The Inn has a free lunch, open to anyone. Weekdays only, ticket hand out is at 6am. 

  • Belmont Church is offering to-go meal boxes on Thursdays and Sundays.

  • Christian Cooperative Ministry offers a food box pickup, Mon & Weds 9:15-12; Tues & Thurs 10am - 12:15p, or when the food runs out. Open to anyone within Davidson County; please bring 2 forms of ID.

  • Nashville Rescue Mission Women’s Campus offers a free community meal (no delivery), open to all women. 

  • One Generation Away will host food distributions on the following dates and times. If driving, please remain in your vehicle and have your trunk opened and cleared for food.

    • May 9, 9:30-11:30 a.m. Antioch Middle School, 5050 Blue Hole Rd, 37013

    • May 15, 9:30-11:30 a.m. Nashville Fairgrounds, 500 Wedgewood Ave, 37203

    • June 27, 9:30-11:30 a.m. Carter Lawrence Elementary School, 1118 12th Ave S, 37203

  • Nashville Free Store - 1111 Dickerson Pike (DRKMTTR music venue) - open every Saturday 12-6pm. Food, supplies, toiletries.  Available to anyone, no questions asked.

 

RENT/MORTGAGE ASSISTANCE

  • Rooftop Nashville is a nonprofit that provides emergency rental or mortgage assistance. To apply for help, complete an application here or call 615-485-5920.

  • Catholic Charities does housing related emergency financial assistance - please call (615) 352-3087 for assistance.

  • Metro Action Commission can provide rental/mortgage assistance if the loss of income has occurred within 60 days. Call 615-862-8860 for more info. 

  • Graceworks Ministries can provide rent and utility payment assistance. To request assistance with these bills, please call 615-794-9055 Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. (Williamson County only).

  • NeedLink Nashville provides emergency financial assistance for residents who need help with housing and/or utilities. To request assistance, complete an online application here.

 

HEALTHCARE

​

  • Neighborhood Health is doing telehealth appointments and accepts folks without insurance (as a result of layoffs or for other reasons) as well as folks who are experiencing any difficulty paying. Intake phone number is (615) 227-3000. Everything from general health to specialties. Includes mental health and psychiatric care. 

  • Mobile Crisis Services is a 24/7/365 response team for those who are experiencing a mental health emergency. The statewide crisis line is a call system that can help anyone experiencing a mental health crisis. All calls are routed to a trained crisis specialist within your area. The service is free. Call 855.CRISIS1 (855.274.7471). If you or someone you love is in crisis and need to talk, call 1.800.273.8255 or text TN to 741-741

  • Alive Hospice is a not-for-profit, community-based, inclusive hospice service for all residents in Middle TN. They also provide trauma and grief counseling. Call the hotline at 615.963.4732
